Write a newsletter. Send it. Get paid.
Pub gives you a page at usepub.com/@you, a plain editor, a subscribe box, and a way to charge for it that puts the money in your own Stripe account.
Free to use. Pub keeps 5% of paid subscriptions, nothing else.
1. Make a publication
Pick a name and a handle. Your page is at usepub.com/@handle, with an about page, an archive and an RSS feed.
2. Write and publish
Posts are Markdown. Preview, publish to the web, and email it to your subscribers in the same step, or not.
3. Charge for it, or don't
Connect your Stripe account, set a monthly and a yearly price, and mark any post as for paid subscribers. Readers pay you directly.
What you get
Your readers are yours
Export your list as CSV any time. Paid subscriptions live in your Stripe account, not ours, so they come with you if you leave.
Email that lands
Every newsletter has one-click unsubscribe, proper authentication, and bounce handling. Sign-ups are confirmed by email before anything is sent.
A paywall that works by email
A paid post shows a preview on the web. Paid subscribers get the whole thing in their inbox, with a link that opens the full post for them.
No tracking pixels
Pub doesn't track opens or clicks. You see who subscribed and what was sent.
Plain editor
Markdown in a text box, with a preview. Headings, links, images, code, quotes and tables. Nothing to learn and nothing to fight.
Simple pricing
Free newsletters are free. On paid ones, Pub takes 5% and Stripe takes its usual fee. There's no monthly plan to pick.
Pricing
One deal for everyone. Compare it with the 10% Substack keeps.
